First thing first, since it is Dutch, the word bakfiet just means “Cargo Bike”. This is a range of bikes, but more on that later, suffice to say it’s a bike that carries significantly more than merely a rider!
Fam is short for “Family”, in this case our chosen family of cargo carrying crew! Sometimes we expand our family and friends to new and like minded souls, that’s what this site and future meets are all about. Sharing knowledge, ideas, experiences, and the joy of cargo bikes and the freedom that comes along with them!
Finally, hi, I’m Adron your host and currently the *administrator* of this site. I live and breath the biking life, car free for a whole bunch of years, and just working and living life with my wife and son here in Redmond, Washington.
